I learnt a new sum today.
Turns out that:
Long jeans + flip flops + gravel = an uncomfortable walk.
It seems that long jeans vacuum up the loose gravel and then deposit it magically in the small space between foot and flip flop. This in turn leads to unbalanced limping and the shaking of feet as though something has been lost within the trouser leg. All in all creating an aura of extreme coolness. Ahem.

The further back I go the more I get the sense that you need to see a shoe therapist. You seem to find yourself in far too many shoe related problems.
Flip Flops or heels, I would venture into the world of comfortable shoes, but I hear that means something else these days.
The problem is that I have problems with everything.. Or I create them!
I do like a shoe to be comfortable though... shouldn't I?
Comfortable shoes are great, but I bet you look killer in heels, with your cobweb tights lol
